Job summary

Paul D. Camp Community College is seeking an adjunct Welding instructor to teach evening courses (Mon–Thu, 5 PM–9 PM) at Franklin/Suffolk locations and online formats.

Hires may teach up to 12 workload credits in fall/spring and 8 in summer, with duties including course planning, delivery, and student engagement. Responsibilities cover on- and off-campus teaching, distance learning, and weekend classes as needed, with emphasis on instructional design, delivery, and assessment to support student

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or equivalent in Welding (as noted in the VCCS-29)
• 5 years of related work experience
• College teaching experience and ability to communicate via email and telephone
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and related software.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct teaching responsibilities vary and may include on- and off-campus, day, evening, distance learning, and weekend classes.
• Teach welding courses and create a learning environment for students with diverse backgrounds.
• Plan and deliver instruction effectively and participate in required department and college meetings.
