Job summary

Jackson College in Michigan seeks a part-time supervisor for the weight room, fieldhouse, Jets Air Station. You will supervise equipment use, promote fitness programs, assist HPF faculty, and deliver outstanding customer service to students and patrons.

You will handle check-in/out, maintain cleanliness, report equipment issues, ensure CPR/First Aid readiness, and follow safety guidelines. This role requires evening and weekend hours and a customer-focused, safety-driven approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise weight room and Jets Air Station to ensure safe equipment use.
• Promote weight training and fitness programs to patrons.
• Assist HPF faculty in helping students meet course requirements.
• Provide outstanding customer service and respond to patron questions.
• Handle check-in/check-out processes for facility users.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workout area.
• Lock/unlock workout area and coordinate with Security for closing.
• Enforce rules with positive redirection following safety guidelines.
• Greet students entering the facility.
• Assist in setup for scheduled activities.
• Monitor gym usage and take corrective action when needed.
• Be aligned with College beliefs/values and be open to evaluation.
• Other duties as assigned.
