Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography.
• Must be RDMS or ARRT(S) registered; RVT certification within 1 year where applicable.
• State licensure requirement for the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic procedures as requested for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Ensures safety and quality in imaging procedures and documentation.
• Gathers data and assists in interventional procedures as needed.
• Educates patients and participates in ongoing quality assurance.
