Virginia Highlands Community College (VHCC) invites applications for a full-time Practical Nursing faculty member to lead an evening/weekend cohort within the new PN program. This grant-funded, restricted position requires teaching across campus labs, didactics, and clinical experiences, with emphasis on coordination and program development.

- Earned master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Active, unexpired Commonwealth of Virginia licensure as a registered nurse with no restrictions.
- At least two (2) years of full-time, direct care experience.
- Understanding of and belief in the comprehensive mission of community colleges.
- Expressed willingness to teach in person, online, in a lab setting, or in a clinical during evenings and on weekends.
Responsabilidades
- Provide academic leadership and deliver high‑quality instruction for the new evening/weekend PN cohort.
- Coordinate, organize, develop and plan the PN Certificate Program in relation to the evening/weekend cohort.
- Involve in selection/admission of PN students and clinical placement/management of students.
- Support and mentor PN nursing adjunct faculty; plan curriculum; ensure compliance with the Virginia Board of Nursing regulations.
- Advise students, engage with external agencies and facilities, serve on committees, participate in professional activities, and assess program effectiveness.
