Job summary

Sports & Social Cary is hiring a Porter to support the venue in Cary, NC. The role involves routine cleaning, trash removal, restroom upkeep, glass cleaning, and operating cleaning equipment to maintain a safe, sanitary facility.

Candidates should be courteous, team-oriented, and able to follow supervisor directions. English skills are a plus, and night/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Courteous and pleasant to all guests.
• Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff.
• English speaking skills are beneficial, but not required.
• Ability to follow direction from supervisors/managers.
• Experience working in the porter or janitorial field is a plus, but not required.
• Previous job references are required.
• Availability to work nights, weekend and/or holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, mop floors
• Dust furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Wash windows as scheduled
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
• Other duties as assigned
