Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree with a major in Nursing from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree with a major in Nursing preferred.
• A minimum of two years of full-time employment in Nursing within the past five years.
• Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
• Evidence of clinical competence in instruction for which employed.
• Recent formal teaching experience, preferably in Nursing education with adult students.
• Certified or certifiable under Ch. 74, H40; American Heart Association CPR certified.
• Meets health standards for clinical agencies (immunizations, etc.).
• Current professional Malpractice Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize framework of the PN program’s Philosophy, Outcomes and Curriculum Plan.
• Provide clinical supervision to up to ten PN students in affiliated agencies.
• Prepare, implement and review course syllabi and teaching materials with Program Director approval.
• Organize, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing courses with other faculty.
• Assist with policy development for student and faculty handbooks and program operations.
• Evaluate student progress using clinical and classroom evaluation strategies.
