Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY is seeking a part-time Food Service Associate to support the Food and Nutrition Services team at Rochester General Hospital. You will help prepare and serve meals to patients, residents and customers, following diet specifications and food safety practices.

Daily duties include assembling meals, delivering carts, stocking supplies, maintaining clean work areas, and operating food service equipment safely.

Competenze

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Able to understand the English language highly preferred.
• Able to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions highly preferred.
• Customer service driven highly desired.

Mansioni

• Assemble patient, resident and customer meals or nourishments according to menu and diet specifications.
• Perform duties in the dish room or designated cleaning area.
• Deliver food carts to units and maintain excellent customer relations.
• Accurately deliver and fill supplies to units as required.
• Maintain organization of coolers, freezers and dry storage for inventory control.
• Keep work areas safe, sanitary and orderly and use equipment properly.
• Replenish work stations and supplies for next meal or shift.
• Operate food service equipment safely and use PPE as required.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training.
• Maintain a professional image of Food and Nutrition Services through hygiene and uniform.
• Perform other department duties as assigned; cash handling and register use may be required.
