Job summary

Rochester General Hospital seeks an experienced Off-Shift Nurse Manager to provide visible leadership during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will lead staff engagement, quality outcomes, patient experience, and operational excellence, reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer with ongoing evaluation for alignment.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• NYS RN License required.
• BLS - American Heart Association.
• AHA CPR certification.
• Active NYSED license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership across assigned departments.
• Oversee Nursing Support Services (NSS) and promote nursing standards.
• Lead staff development, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Conduct leadership rounding and real-time issue resolution.
• Support staffing, capacity, and throughput after hours.
• Ensure patient safety, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate handoffs to day shift and communicate with executives.
