Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking an experienced Library Assistant 3 for Evening and Weekend Access Services & 3D Assistant at the Marston Science Library. The role provides desk supervision, 3D printing support, and operational coordination during evenings and Sundays, with a total of 40 hours per week.

Primary duties include supervising the service desk, managing access services, assisting with ILL requests, and supporting 3D printing workflows.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of library experience, or an Associate degree with 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills across diverse patron groups
• Proficiency with library tools and technology, including ILS and printers/scanners

Responsibilities

• Supervise circulation desk operations and provide high-level customer service
• Assist patrons with research tools and basic reference needs
• Oversee 3D printing services, organize supplies, and assist with purchases
• Coordinate building operations and safety during evening/weekend shifts
• Handle ILL requests, item recalls, and MSL Item Needed Requests
• Assist with inventory management and special projects
