Job summary

California State University, East Bay invites applications for a pool of part-time lecturers in the Department of Teacher Education for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Courses may be scheduled at the Hayward campus, the Concord Center, and/or online.

Most courses are held in the evenings or on weekends. Assignments include courses in the multiple and single subject credential programs, early childhood education, curriculum, reading, and educational technology leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field.
• Teaching experience in K-12 settings.
• Ability to teach and evaluate candidates from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Comfort with online or hybrid courses preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses scheduled at East Bay campuses (Hayward, Concord) or online.
• Evenings and weekends lecturing as needed; adapt to course formats.
