Job summary

Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity dedicated to aiding school districts and communities in South Dakota. We seek outgoing Direct Support Professionals for the evening/weekend shift to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will provide hands-on care, help with daily living activities, meals, transportation, and community participation while keeping a safe, respectful living environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Physical & Clean Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities, including accompanying individuals in the community and assisting with transportation needs.
• Assist to maintain a clean and safe living environment for individuals.
