Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston seeks a Direct Care Staff for Brigid's Crossing in Lowell, MA. The role supports young parents with parenting skills and daily living, maintains confidentiality, and upholds professional boundaries.

Weekend and weekday shifts involve supervising residents, transporting them as needed, and implementing the PAYA curriculum under supervision. You will document incidents, assist with care plans, supervise meals, and participate in meetings and trainings to

Qualifications

• Background check with CORI/SORI/DCF and fingerprinting.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or Associate’s with 3+ years experience with adolescents.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Ability to work with varied client population.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Clear communication skills in English (and Spanish or Khmer preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and database apps.
• Massachusetts driver’s license with good driving record.
• Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
• Oversee residents to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
• Recognize, respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
• Transport residents in agency minivans for planned tasks.
• Instruct residents in daily living and parenting skills.
• Enforce program rules and model appropriate behavior.
• Follow policies and report issues to leadership promptly.
• Assist with implementation of Service Plan tasks.
• Complete documentation and daily logs.
• Assist with Med. Management program as directed by RN.
• Supervise meal preparation and ensure nutritious meals.
• Ensure spaces are cleaned and safe.
• Participate in staff meetings and supervision.
• Attend required trainings and complete 24 hours of PD yearly.
