Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) seeks a Non-Credit Part Time Faculty member to teach Culinary or Baking courses in the HCAT Institute. This in-person role requires evenings and weekend availability at the Arnold/Main Campus, with instruction delivered on campus or at approved locations.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree and a culinary certification or a Bachelor’s degree, plus five years of industry experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and a recognized culinary certification or Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of related industry experience required.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to teach nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction of Hospitality, Culinary and/or Baking & Pastry courses in the HCAT Institute as directed by enrollments and as assigned by your supervisor on a semester basis.
• Prepare daily instructional lesson plans based upon agreed upon curriculum and instruct in a manner consistent with college policies.
• Instruct lectures and hands-on classes on campus, off campus or remotely to a standard consistent with professional standards.
• Ensure a variety of technologies are incorporated into course delivery.
• Attend departmental, divisional and association meetings as requested.
• Maintain professional communications with all related program areas.
• Assess learning outcomes listed in the course guide or syllabus.
• File course grades consistently and with 100% accuracy.
