Job summary

Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS, seeks an Adjunct Assistant Nursing Professor in the Health Resource Center to oversee nursing skills labs and student assessments. The position requires weekend and evening availability, averaging 30 hours per week over 16 weeks, with Monday–Friday 7:30 to 19:00 and Saturdays 9:00–15:00 (most Saturdays required).

Qualifications

• Masters degree in nursing required or equivalent experience.
• Active single-state RN license in Kansas, or Multi-state RN license.
• Current BLS certification as healthcare provider.
• Minimum of three years full-time nursing experience in last five years.
• Ability to multitask; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Open labs and assist students with psychomotor skills and validations.
• Set up and break down formal labs and assessment labs.
• Teach formal skills labs and assessment labs.
• Inventory supplies and assist with lab housekeeping.
• Remediation and support for students with psychomotor skill referrals.
• Grade assignments and manage class-related tickets.
• Proctor and evaluate head-to-toe exams and skills check-offs.
