Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is seeking a Splitter for our Distribution Center. You will distribute merchandise onto pallets according to daily split sheets, meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role operates primarily in a DC environment and requires training on powered equipment. The position includes shift hours on second shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM) and emphasizes accurate reporting, pallet building, and adherence to SOPs and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn to use an RF scanner.
• Completion of Powered Equipment Training Program and license.
• Completion of Splitting Area Training Program and proficiency test.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and obtain any applicable license.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete and submit daily productivity sheets.
• Perform splitting functions in a safe, productive manner.
• Assign and remove pallets using RF scanning device.
• Build shippable pallets with pallet jack, walkie talkies, and wrapping machine.
• Verify case pack and merchandise descriptions.
