Job summary

Virginia Eagle Distributing Co. is seeking an Order Picker for the evening shift to build and deliver accurate orders across Virginia. You will use the EasyPick system, handheld scanners, and pallet jacks to assemble and stage deliveries with precision.

Responsibilities include verifying counts, operating forklifts when certified, loading trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse. The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 15–40+ lbs repeatedly throughout a long shift.
• Sharp attention to detail for accurate case counts and orders.
• Basic math skills to count and verify quantities.
• Forklift certification is a plus; certification within 90 days if not yet certified.
• Reliable attendance and dependability on shift schedule.
• Work in a high-noise, temperature-controlled environment; hard-wearing footwear required.

Responsibilities

• Pick and build delivery route orders using EasyPick scanning system and stack cases accurately.
• Verify order accuracy with two-step scan verification and sign off on completed orders.
• Operate electric walk-behind and walk/ride pallet jacks to move and stage orders.
• Operate sit-down forklift as needed (certification within 90 days of hire).
• Assist with loading trucks and end-of-shift warehouse cleanup.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with OSHA standards.
• Cross-train in other warehouse functions to provide coverage as needed.
