Job summary

SanMar Ashland distribution center is seeking a Warehouse Associate II to support inventory accuracy and order fulfillment. You will unload/load trailers, move product with lift equipment, and store items while updating the location database.

The role requires 1-3 years in a warehouse, strong customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work overtime, with an hourly pay of $18.50 plus a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills; multi-tasking and prioritizing daily responsibilities.
• Ability to learn OS and operate RF unit.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient typing and data entry skills.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Able to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
• Comprehend verbal and written instructions.

• Overtime may be required, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load trailers and move product using powered lift equipment.
• Store product by designating storage areas and update location database.
• Prepare product for shipment and direct movement to staging area.
• Verify inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjust entries.
• Document warehouse actions with forms, logs, and records; maintain databases.
• Monitor inventory with regular counts.
• Resolve discrepancies and locate missing product to fulfill orders.
• Support Returns, invoicing and tagging shipments, and generating reports.
• Maintain safe, secure warehouse environment per policies and regulations.
