Job summary
Freight Breakers is seeking a reliable Shift Supervisor to lead teams of 10–15 in a fast-paced warehouse in Romeoville, IL. The role requires hands-on leadership, crew coordination, and safety-focused supervision on multi-trailer unloads.
The position offers Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–3:30 AM work with $18/hr base pay plus incentives, with potential earnings around $25/hr for strong performers. PTO, health, dental and vision, and a 401K are provided.
Qualifications
- Basic Microsoft Word & Excel skills.
- Strong communication and organization.
- Ability to multitask.
- Positive attitude and strong leadership skills.
- Comfortable handling conflict and de-escalating situations.
- Physically capable of assisting with warehouse work and boxes up to 150 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10–15.
- Track attendance and trailer start/completion times.
- Complete basic reports and documentation.
- Send start/end-of-shift communications.
- Conduct safety talks and observations.
- Monitor productivity and address employee issues.
- Step in and assist with unloading when needed.
