Job summary

Freight Breakers LLC in Romeoville, IL is hiring experienced Stand-Up Forklift Drivers to join our warehouse team. The role requires operating stand-up forklifts, pallet shuttle between docks, and accurate pallet movement to keep operations running smoothly.

Pay starts at $22.00/hour for first shift and $23.50/hour for second shift, with mandatory overtime as needed. Schedule includes 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on select days and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for the other shift, with varying 10-12 hour days.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Stand-up forklift experience required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check. Felony convictions will be reviewed.
• Must provide 2 valid forms of identification.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts.
• Must be willing to work mandatory overtime when requested.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklifts to move pallets.
• Shuttle pallets between warehouse docks.
• Organize and stage pallets.
• Maintain accurate and efficient pallet movement.
• Support daily warehouse and dock operations.
• Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
• Perform equipment inspections as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently.
