Job summary

Americold in Idaho is hiring a janitor for a Monday–Friday shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). Under supervision, you will keep offices, break rooms, bathrooms, yards, parking lots, warehouse and dock areas clean and orderly, and ensure sanitation in work areas, including freezer/cooler access.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning, routine maintenance, debris removal, reporting repairs, pest-control checks, snow/ice removal, and complying with OSHA and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or at least one year related work experience.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to solve routine problems.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules and manuals.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as floors, rugs, walls, glass, and rubbish removal.
• Perform routine maintenance and remove debris from grounds; notify management of repairs.
• Ensure pest-control systems are operating; report issues to supervisor.
• Remove ice and snow from walkways and parking lots seasonally.
• Keep grounds free of litter; work safely and report hazards.
• Comply with OSHA standards and company safety procedures.
• Follow attendance policy; be on time for shift.
• May wash/sweep insides of trailers/railcars; other duties as assigned.
