Job summary

Priority Pet Urgent Care in Knoxville, TN is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join a brand-new state-of-the-art clinic. Responsibilities include restraint, triage, lab work, imaging, and assisting with anesthesia and surgical procedures.

Evening and weekend shifts are required; ER/urgent care experience is appreciated but not mandatory. A supportive environment offers growth and development opportunities within a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional veterinary experience required.
• ER or Urgent Care experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to properly restrain pets.
• Evening and weekend shift availability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to advance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Restrain animals and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples, perform radiographs and diagnostic imaging.
• Assist in surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring; provide nursing care and communicate treatment plans to clients.
