Job summary

Alliance Animal Health is opening a Priority Pet Urgent Care clinic in Knoxville, TN, offering evening urgent care services from 4 pm to 12 midnight. We are building a medical care team and seeking experienced veterinary technicians and assistants to join our dynamic hospital environment.

The role involves animal restraint, triage, lab work, imaging, anesthesia assistance and compassionate client communication. Growth, ongoing training and competitive benefits are emphasized for all staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years veterinary technician experience preferred.
• CVT certification preferred but not required.
• ER or Urgent Care experience preferred but not required.
• Punctuality and reliability in adherence to posted shifts.
• Excellent client communication and medical records management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care and hospital operations.
• Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
• Proficiency in various sample collection methods including blood, urine, fecal and skin specimens.
• Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.
• Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring.
• Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards.

Responsibilities

• Restraint of animals and triage of incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples and assist with diagnostic testing.
• Perform radiographic imaging and ensure proper positioning.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases.
• Administer medications and assist with anesthesia and monitoring during procedures.
• Communicate treatment plans effectively with clients and care teams.
