Job summary

UrgentPaws LLC is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to greet clients, collect histories, assist with animal care, and support the veterinarian. The position involves radiography, lab sample handling, and maintaining accurate patient records. Flexible, afternoon/evening shifts and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic veterinary terminology knowledge, and prior veterinary experience. Medical benefits and PTO are provided; no overnights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic veterinary terminology knowledge.
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate clients from arrival to discharge and handle payments.
• Obtain vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist with animal handling, meds, and nursing care.
• Take and process radiographs (X-rays).
• Collect and process lab samples for analysis.
• Maintain patient records and ensure clean, sterile equipment.
