Job summary

Ellwood Texas Forge Houston is seeking a Utility Operator to work across multiple departments and shifts, starting at 2pm-10pm with overtime eligibility. You may operate a forging press, saws, grinders, and related equipment while learning various processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn and commit to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe material handling using overhead cranes and wheeled equipment as required.
• Operate grinder to remove defects, cracks, seams, laps, etc., from material.
• Set controls to adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions.
• Operate saws to cut, slot, groove, and trim work pieces according to specifications.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on assigned equipment.
