Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of a unit secretary course preferred.
• Clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete clerical duties for scheduling, admissions, procedures, transfers, surgeries, discharges and deaths under RN supervision.
• Handle and screen incoming calls and transmit messages.
• Maintain confidential, accurate, and timely patient information.
• Prepare requisitions and nursing communication forms.
• Communicate effectively with team, patients and families.
• Support age/developmental appropriate patient care per guidelines.
