Job summary

Brooke Knoll Village in Avon, Indiana, is seeking a Unit Manager to oversee nursing services and supervise resident care on a 24-hour basis. You will coordinate with facility administration, physicians, families, and community agencies, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations under the Director of Nursing.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed in Indiana (RN or LPN), with experience in nursing administration or supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed by the State of Indiana as a registered or licensed practical nurse.
• Experience or training in nursing services administration, rehabilitation or geriatric nursing is desirable.
• 1+ year of demonstrated ability in nursing administration and/or supervision in a health facility preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate with residents, families and staff.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, walk, grasp and respond to pages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services.
• Help plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and manage the nursing services department.
• Assist in planning and maintaining resident discharge procedures and plans.
• Participate in interviewing and screening residents for admission.
• Ensure attending physicians and families are promptly notified of significant changes in health status.
• Assist with developing work assignments for nursing staff.
