Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) full time in Akron, OH. In this role, you will serve clients by performing security procedures, monitoring access, patrolling premises, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will maintain logs, respond to incidents, and enforce site policies while working a set Mon-Fri 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule. A high school diploma and background check are required, CPR and badge experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazardous conditions, and facility concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and visitor or contractor documentation as required.
