Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) full time in Akron, OH. In this role, you will serve clients by performing security procedures, monitoring access, patrolling premises, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will maintain logs, respond to incidents, and enforce site policies while working a set Mon-Fri 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule. A high school diploma and background check are required, CPR and badge experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazardous conditions, and facility concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and visitor or contractor documentation as required.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the site.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazardous conditions, and facility concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and visitor or contractor documentation as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
