Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room team. This part-time position (24 hours weekly) covers Tue, Thu, and Fri from 3 PM to 11 PM, with a 10% evening differential.

The role emphasizes maintaining sterile fields, preparing rooms and instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures. The ideal candidate has ORT program credentials (or equivalent) and BLS certification, with an ability to work call and contribute to safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Completion of an accredited ORT program or recent equivalent training.
• Two years scrub tech experience preferred for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and ensure sterile operating environment.
• Prepare operating room and instruments for procedures.
• Assist surgeon during procedures within ORT scope of practice.
• Turnover rooms and prep for next case.
• Identify emergencies and respond appropriately.
