Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgery unit in Oak Lawn, IL. The role requires completing an accredited nursing program, holding an active RN license, and providing at least 6 months of RN experience. BLS certification is required.

You will deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care, apply evidence-based practice, and help create a safe, patient-centered environment across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program in nursing.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
