Job summary

Aspiranet is seeking a compassionate Support Counselor in Santa Cruz, CA to provide direct support to youth and caregivers under the Residential / Crisis Stabilization Unit program. This full-time, non-exempt role emphasizes individualized care plans, trauma-informed approaches, and collaborative teamwork to promote healing and safety.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, flexibility to work evenings/weekends, and adherence to HIPAA and funding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in behavioral health field.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of crisis assessment and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Directly support youth and caregivers per program plans.
• Implement interventions per individualized service plans.
• Model interventions for caregivers and families.
• Conduct therapeutic sessions with youth and caregivers when indicated.
• Support youth participation in age-appropriate activities.
• Provide transportation for youth to appointments and activities as approved.
• Participate in meetings and case consultations.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
