Job summary

Newman University is seeking a student worker to assist the custodial services team. The position mainly works in the evenings, with shifts Monday through Friday from 8pm to 12am and occasional weekends.

The role includes floor maintenance, cleaning restrooms and public areas, and handling miscellaneous tasks. Must be a current Newman University student enrolled full-time and authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Newman University student enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be punctual and able to start shift on time.
• Gloves will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Floor Maintenance – vacuuming room carpets and dorm floors; sweeping hallways, gym floors, bleacher stands.
• Custodial Cleaning and Trash Removal – clean all restrooms, lobbies, public areas, student rooms; floor scrubbing/mopping, trash removal, stocking supplies, glass cleaning, sink/toilet sanitation.
• Miscellaneous Assignments – moving tables and chairs; cleaning equipment; complete university trainings including FERPA and Title IX.
