The position focuses on supervising Housing Advocates and a Team Leader II, ensuring documentation, scheduling, and crisis response are handled efficiently, with on-call duties and a 35-hour work week.

Qualifications

• NYS LMSW license required.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Obtain 9.58 credentialing within first 3 months.
• Knowledge of Housing First, Harm Reduction, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Oversee street outreach teams, including Housing Advocates and a Team Leader II.
• Provide regular supervision meetings for direct reports.
• Create shift schedules and ensure field coverage at all times.
• Ensure canvassing reflects feedback from teams and data sources.
• Apply Housing First, Harm Reduction, CPI, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care models.
• Ensure contracts, regulatory requirements, and service delivery targets are met.
• Complete documentation, reporting, and referrals on time per DHS/Breaking Ground rules.
• Support staff in managing difficult situations and de-escalation.
• Lead Code Blue/Red alerts and provide clinical leadership in challenging cases.
• Handle 9.58 involuntary removals to hospital with proper documentation.
• Liaise with community partners and DHS staff to respond to emergent concerns.
• Build collaborative relationships with NYPD, EMS, and other providers.
• Attend onsite partner meetings and provide on-call coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
