Job summary

Phoenix Rescue Mission is seeking an outreach professional in Mesa, AZ to work four 10-hour shifts (Wed–Sat, 1:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) with a $3.00/hour shift differential. The role focuses on engaging people experiencing homelessness, guiding them through services, and documenting progress in our system.

You will participate in devotions and embody a credible Christian witness while collaborating with community partners to help clients exit homelessness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in case management/social work.
• Peer Support certification preferred.
• Arizona driver’s license with clean record; able to qualify for company insurance policy.
• Knowledge of issues facing street homelessness and resources to exit homelessness.
• Good composure under stress; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Connect with and motivate people living on the streets to pursue self-sufficiency.
• Assist homeless individuals to navigate social services and identify resources.
• Set goals and develop individualized case plans for outreach prospects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and attend outreach events.
• Ensure client information is entered accurately in the PRM database.
• Lead or participate in devotions, prayers, or other Christian witness activities.
