Qualifications

• One year of experience as a surgical sterilization tech or equivalent.
• CRCST certification within one year of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, assemble and test instrumentation for proper functioning.
• Lead capacity: assist with teaching of new hires and act as a resource for staff.
• Decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical/surgical materials to ensure sterility.
• Prepare trays and carts; wrap/package items and operate instrument tracking systems.
• Select appropriate sterilization materials and assist inventory control.
