Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of patient care equipment and instruments within a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and certification within one year of hire; prior sterile processing experience or CST/CRCST certification is preferred. Schedule includes evenings, Monday–Friday, in Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Within 1 year of hire, obtain Central Service or CST certification (CBSPD/CRCST or CST).
• Preferred: 1+ year in sterile processing or CST/CRCST certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of patient care equipment and instruments.
• Maintain accurate sterilization documentation and work under supervision as needed.
