Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude to disassemble/reassemble instruments and solve problems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read schedules and prioritize instrument needs.
• Adherence to infection control and PPE protocols.
• Preferred: SPD Technician certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble and package instruments per IFU and QA requirements.
• Maintain sterilization logs and QA records for equipment.
• Interpret surgical schedules and communicate instrument needs to minimize delays.
• Track instruments and ensure inventory and set readiness.
• Operate steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers and related equipment.
• Follow PPE and infection control practices to maintain a safe environment.
