Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland is seeking a CS SPD Non Certified Technician for evening shifts at the Main Campus. Work includes decontamination, instrument inspection, assembly, wrapping and sterilization of reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment.

A High School diploma or GED is required; Sterile Processing certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire. Military experience will be considered for potential alignment with the role.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Sterile Processing certification required within 18 months after hire.
• Experience using computerized instrument tracking systems.
• Military experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide case care management for instrument cases.
• Handle equipment, instruments and chemicals safely.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Observe PPE standards in the decontamination process.
• Scan, sort, inspect, assemble, wrap and label instruments per procedure.
• Perform record keeping.
