Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• On-the-job training lasts 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, sort, assemble and store general surgical instruments and equipment.
• Use appropriate cleaning/disinfection chemicals per procedure.
• Handle contaminated items safely and maintain logs of activities.
• Inspect instrumentation for defects, cleanliness and functionality.
• Package, wrap and document instruments for tracking and storage.
• Perform quality assurance monitoring as directed.
