Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a CS SPD Non Certified Technician for the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role involves decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of reprocessed instruments, with emphasis on case cart management and compliance with standards.

The caregiver will work evenings from 3:00pm-11:00pm or 11:00pm-7:30am; first 90 days may have daytime training. Department values teamwork and patient-centered care within a world-class facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Sterile Processing certification (CRCST, CSPDT, CFER, or CER) required within 18 months after hire.
• Ability to use the computerized instrument tracking system to perform assigned duties and document sterilization loads.
• Military experience in related roles will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide case care management.
• Properly handle equipment, instruments and chemicals.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Observe personal protective equipment standards in the decontamination process.
• Scan, sort, inspect and assemble, wrap and label instruments by instrument list as documented in the procedure.
• Perform record keeping.
