Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking a CS SPD Certified Technician to ensure safe and efficient decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments. You will support productivity goals and staffing flexibility while maintaining high standards of patient safety.

The role requires a Sterile Processing certification, HS diploma or GED, and 2–5 years in sterile processing.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in central service/sterile processing preferred.
• Certification in central service/sterile processing preferred.
• Must have a Sterile Processing certification (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT, CER) and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping, and sterilization.
• Uses the electronic tracking system for processing, sterilization, and QA documentation.
• Builds case carts and dispatches to appropriate locations.
• Educates non-certified technicians under preceptor guidelines.
