Job summary

OU Medicine in Oklahoma City is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I for the Adult SPD, evenings schedule 2:30 PM–11:00 PM. You will clean, decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize instruments under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or GED; no experience required (hospital experience preferred).

Certifications CSPDT or CRCST must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in CSPDT or CRCST within 12 months of hire.
• No experience required; hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and wraps instrument sets.
• Operates autoclaves and sonic cleaners.
• Delivers instruments on a timely basis.
• Maintains sterilization logs and inventory.
• Decontaminates instruments per procedures.
