Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, seeks a Supervisor of Sterile Processing to oversee decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of supplies and instruments.

The role ensures quality control, maintains par levels, and documents processes, with on-call responsibilities. You will orient and evaluate Sterile Processing Techs, manage staffing, and collaborate with OR and nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Experience supervising Sterile Processing staff preferred.
• Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Orients, schedules, assigns work to Sterile Processing Techs and evaluates performance.
• Keeps staff informed of policy and procedure changes.
• Ensures adequate staffing and revision of schedules to meet workload.
• Maintains records for QA and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates with OR and nursing staff to ensure proper sterilization parameters.
