Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks an Operations Manager - Sterile Processing for the Brooklyn, NY area. You will direct all sterile processing operations, coordinate department staff, and liaise with administration and hospital departments to deliver high-quality service.

You will train staff, ensure policy compliance, and manage schedules and performance. Strong MS Office skills, leadership, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of progressively responsible experience in Central Sterile operations or similar.
• Good work ethic, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations with all organizational levels.
• Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in groups.
• Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership; experience managing hourly staff.
• Ability to function under stressful conditions.
• Knowledge of MS Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes, directs, and coordinates all sterile processing functions and activities.
• Interprets policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for staff and clinical teams.
• Performs duties of Central Supply technician as needed; schedules staff and evaluates performance.
• Maintains departmental policies, QA program, safety, and infection control standards.
• Coordinates with OR functions and nursing units to provide timely services.
• Sterilizes instruments, equipment, and supplies; handles and stores items properly.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Supervises requisitioning, sorting, labeling, and issuing of equipment.
• Coordinates sterilization, assembly, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques and procedures.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff performance.
• Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors staff workload.
• Maintains department records of sterilization activities.
