Job summary

Midwestern Career College – Evergreen Park Campus is seeking a Sterile Processing Adjunct Instructor for in-person teaching. The role requires evening hours, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm, with local commute to the Evergreen Park campus.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Health Sciences, holds CBSPD or HSPA certification, and preferably teaching experience. This is a part-time position focused on delivering the curriculum and maintaining student engagement.

Qualifications

• Instruct established curriculum to students in a professional manner.
• Discuss syllabi requirements at term start with students.
• Ensure students are aware of safety policies and monitor for correct procedures.
• Maintain professionalism within the classroom and coach students on their professionalism.
• Record student attendance, grades, and interactions in SIS on time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and instruct established curriculum to students in a professional manner.
• Review and discuss syllabi requirements at the start of each term with students.
• Ensure students are aware of safety policies and monitor for correct procedures.
• Maintain professionalism within the classroom and coach students on their professionalism.
• Manage and resolve student issues in the classroom as necessary.
• Manage all classroom activities, including lecturing, student assistance, and lab instruction.
• Ensure students are attending class and arriving on time and resolve attendance issues as needed.
• Record student attendance, grades, and all student interactions in student files and on the SIS on time.
