Job summary

Penn State Abington is seeking up to five part-time STEM Academy Instructors for an in-person math and science based high school program in Northeast Philadelphia. You will deliver pre-designed STEM content to high school students from September 2026 to June 2027, with class hours typically from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

on weekdays and about 6 hours per week. Hourly pay ranges from $30 to $40 for qualified students or recent graduates.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one STEM area (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science) or Education preferred.
• Ability to follow and revise written instructions for STEM activities.
• Capable of working both independently and with a team to deliver content.

Responsibilities

• Deliver STEM-based instruction, activities, and labs to high school students.
• Follow and adapt pre-designed content and supporting materials.
• Provide weekly updates and materials to the STEM Faculty Coordinator.
• Communicate with STEM team members to ensure content accuracy and problem solving.
