Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Specimen Technician I in Lewisville, TX. Shift: Tue–Sat, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. Responsibilities include data entry of test orders and specimen handling to the lab, with duties like centrifugation and aliquoting. Flexibility for nights and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.

• Flexibility; mainly night shift; weekends/holidays/on-call may be required.
• Previous production/medical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of test orders and presort; pickup and delivery of specimens to the lab; centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Process specimens for shipment to other facilities.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.
• Identify issues with specimen data and resolve discrepancies.
• Understand test orders vs. specimen received relationships.
