Job summary

Labcorp in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. The role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, labeling, routing and data entry of patient information in a high-throughput environment.

You will work Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm-12:00 am with overtime as needed, and contribute to meeting department goals while handling specimens safely and accurately. We offer comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
