Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our West Columbia, SC team. You will process specimens, perform data entry, and ensure accurate labeling and shipping for high-throughput testing.

This role supports the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team, with a 5:00pm–11:00pm shift. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a team environment in a dynamic laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Team-oriented with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
