Job summary

Qualifications

• 6 months of phlebotomy experience

• Ability to operate hospital information systems

Responsibilities

• Collect and process patient blood samples by venipuncture or capillary puncture
• Process nonblood specimens accurately and timely
• Register patients and provide phone support to care areas
• Maintain documentation and labeling per standards
• Train new staff and students in department procedures
• Perform routine lab tests and report results to clinical staff
